Deirdre Stach is a Senior Vice President of Mercury/Clark & Weinstock in Washington DC. She is a veteran of Federal government affairs consulting, having provided counsel to Clark & Weinstock clients for more than a decade.
Deirdre has represented a wide variety of interests, including Sallie Mae, Edison Electric Institute, the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, eBay, Leading Age, ECMC, Capella University and APUS.
Prior to joining Clark & Weinstock, Deirdre worked for nine years in the U.S. Congress where she specialized in a wide range of public policy issues, including the federal budget, the appropriations process, tax policy, science and technology.
Immediately prior to joining Clark & Weinstock, Deirdre served as the budget analyst for the House Committee on Science. In that position, she coordinated all legislative activities of the vice chairman of the House Budget Committee and worked with the staffs of the Budget Committee and the House Republican leadership to develop and implement legislative strategy.
Before serving on the Science Committee, Deirdre acted as legislative director to Rep. Robert Walker (R-PA), where she oversaw the legislative staff and helped translate the congressman's ideas into viable legislation. She has worked extensively with both the legislative branch of government and the Washington public policy community in advancing major policy initiatives.
Deirdre holds a B.A. from Dickinson College where she studied economics and political science.
